Legend has it that “Bonsai” come from China long time ago as  trees in small pots use as herbal medicine for illness treatment. Chinese herbs always make the very important drole in traditionnal  Chinese medicine, so they always were shaped into miniature trees.

It was about 13rd century the Chinese civilization influenzed to Japan including trees in pots. It was the Japanese,who perfected the art of growing miniature trees and gave the word “BonSai” . “ BON “ means POT  and  “SAI” means TREE.


Viet nam BonSai  has been also developped  following Zen Buddhist principal way : the Harmony between Man and Nature.

After 1975 BonSai VietNam has been grown up in number, but cannot compare to the other huge Bonsai countries as  China and Japan…  The gardens are still small, but Bonsai Art in VietNam have our own native, cultural colour.
